Review/Tony Hawk’s Professional Skaters 1+2 (XO)
I like Tony Hawk’s professional skating competition. Since the moment Dreamcast played the presentation for the first time(yes, the first two games were indeed launched on Dreamcast.) America Mountain has never played a new part, but never stopped playing back to the previous part. For a long time, I have always wanted to see some performances of this series on modern game consoles, but now I can’t launch a complete replica of Tony Hawk’s “Proscator1+2″(Pro Skatter1+2). I can conclude here, but I think some people will need more persuasion.
although I have seen this game officially called “Re Masters”, for me, it is closer to Re Masters. While controls and games are still familiar, everything is modern. This is a faster and heavier professional skateboard game. You know and like it. If you look back, you will be surprised how slow the original topic was. It helps to give up exaggerated physics, improve speed, and make you feel like a result when you hit the ball in a pathological way, making you feel different actions. This is the reset required for this series, but it is not a big change and will not confuse long-term players. I also like most of the actions that will be added to the game in the future, such as carriage return and double click skills; although this may disappoint purists, it opens up many possibilities for new approaches to maintaining the exploration phase and composition. If it really wants to torture you or add challenges, you can switch between basic mode, THPS1 mode(including insufficient manual) or THPS2 mode. This is a good choice; you can make choices that make everyone happy.
For the stage, they all came back from professional skater 1 and professional skater 2. Unfortunately, the extra level of professional skater 2X is not included. However, everything else is here, which solves one of the biggest problems of Tony Hawk’s professional Skater HD. Each park has new paint, which will update the relatively ordinary original environment to a place with real personality and charm on a large scale. Deployment has not changed. I know this is very important for the most pure people. But I feel that some stages are still very new. A quarter of the wooden pipes in Roswell are now smooth metal, and the classic warehouse actually looks like an abandoned warehouse. Professional skaters 1+2 is always a beautiful game. You will want to spend more time in such a place, and the remake will also have your backing: in addition to the classic tasks of all levels, there are many new challenges.
So it feels good and looks good; is there any problem? Well, I want to see more, but the production options are boring. When it comes to creating skaters, you can’t even choose your body shape or customize your face; simply select a face from several presets. There is not much choice for equipment; unlocking through challenges in the late game can also be attributed to basic daily blessings. I realize that this is consistent with most series, but they can do more with this model. The content is also limited by other aspects. The pool of possible special skills is small. Sadly, there are no guest skaters.(unless Jack Black is included)
This means that THPS1 and THPS2 will be remade eventually, which is all I want. Indeed, for those who like Tony Hawk’s game, this is an easy choice. This is a great update to the original. It’s already worth 40 dollars. This is a good place if you are a little unfamiliar with this series, or have not tried PS1 since it was launched. Although the package is lighter(I want to be consistent with the price), Tony Hawke’s “professional skater 1+2” has recovered the status of the series after a series of dull games. I really hope we can see another new game in this series soon. Or, if not, at least a new stage should be created this time. Let’s meet in the warehouse
